Cartizze, a rare Prosecco Bookmark and Share

The beautiful Valdobbiadene region in the slopes beyond Treviso is home to one of the world's most popular sparkling wines, Cartizze. Cartizze is the supreme quality of Prosecco and comes from the little town of San Pietro di Barbossa in the Valdobbiadene Municipal Area. Cartizze is prepared from cent percent prosecco grapes andf is essentially a dry Prosecco.

The wine of Cartizze is straw yellow in color with a bubbly, persistent and fine perlage and a concentrated smell of apple, apricot and pear which creates an inimitable aroma that is simply irresistible.

The charismatic wine of Cartizze is produced over a small area covering just 107 hectares of land. The hilly area around this place characterizes a stony terrain, the soil has a balanced chemical composition and the climate ensures a constant level of humidity all of which are favorable factors for a quality vintage. The rare combination of all these encouraging factors ensure that the Prosecco grapes become fully grown bit by bit and by the end when it’s finally the harvest time the grapes develop a rich and absolute wealth of acids that make a great wine.

Cratizze tastes the best when served chill, at 9° C. (48° F.) precisely after meals or with desserts. Cartizze is to be preferably served in Chalice goblets. Cartizze is a refined quality sparkling wine that goes the best outside meals, as it adds a unique edge of nobility and a great deal of personality to the overall palate. In fact Cartizze also makes an exceptional accompaniment when served with dry pastries, and a lot of other distinguished desserts like strawberry mousse and chocolate mousse.
